RED WING — The Chaska/Chanhassen girls hockey co-op within the Missota Conference has come under increased scrutiny by other programs in the conference in recent years, but a flurry of developments in recent weeks will push the Storm Hawks out of the league next season.
The controversial program has posted a 20-3-1 record since joining the Missota in 2010, and rolled to the conference title this season with an 11-0-1 mark and outscoring opponents 70-20. Red Wing finished second at 10-2, with both losses coming against the co-op program.
