The Section 6 team held on to win the 2014 Senior Classic held at the Schwan's Super Rink over a very strong Section 5 team by a score of 4-2. Section 6 scored three second period goals to take a three goal lead before Section 5 answered with a goal late in the period. Summer Thibideau from Maple Grove High School scored the first two goals unassisted. Kelly Pannek, from Benilde-St Margaret's and a Ms Hockey Finalist, added a thrid goal for Section 6 giving them the 3-0 lead. Alex Lovaas, The Blake School, added a late second period goal to reduce the lead to 3-1. Blair Parent, Anoka HS forward, scored in the third period to bring the score to 3-2. Ashley Ritten made 12 saves in the third to secure the win for Section 6. The final empty net goal was scored by Emma Terres on a 185' clearing shot with :00.7 seconds left in regulation.

In other games Section 7 held on to beat Section 4 by a score of 3 to 2 to win 3rd place. Section 1 outlasted Section 3 in a scoring filled game by a score of 7-6 to finish in 5th place. Section 2 beat Section 8 to capture 7th place by shutting out Section 8 by a 3 to 0 score.
