Head Coach Tom Kulenkamp

Entering his 34th consecutive year as a head coach.

Hockey Experience:  Tom played Goalie at Henry Sibley High School from 1972-75.  He played in the State H.S. Hockey Tournament in 1974 and 1975.  He went on to play at Augsburg College where his teams were three times MIAC Champions and in 1978 was the Small College National Champions.  He was the Boy’s Head Hockey Coach at St. Anthony H.S. from 1979-83; Head Men’s Hockey Coach at Hamline University 1983-85; Head Boy’s Hockey Coach at Woodbury H.S. 1985-99; and the Head Girl’s Hockey Coach at Spring Lake Park/St. Anthony H.S. from 1999-present.

 

Personal Information:  Tom has a B.A. degree from Augsburg College and a Masters Degree from Winona State University.  He is a Physical Education Specialist at Woodbury Elementary and has been teaching for over 30 years.  Tom is married to wife Karen and resides in Blaine. His daughter Tara and son Ryan are both graduates of Spring Lake Park High School.  Tom has three passions:  family, hockey and fly fishing.  His favorite quote from Badger Bob Johnson - “It’s a Great Day for Hockey!”
