ST. PAUL — After three consecutive blowouts Wednesday in the Class A girls state hockey tournament, fans were treated to an epic overtime battle between fourth-seeded Red Wing and unseeded Hutchinson for the nightcap.

After qualifying for its third state tournament in the last four years, Red Wing's girls hockey team might be able to reach the Xcel Center in St. Paul this week with its eyes closed. The team's three seniors, however, have taken the road less traveled to enjoy their time under the bright lights.

Freshman Reagan Haley has made a killing this season with her precision passing in Red Wing's potent offensive attack. However, she bucked that trend Thursday — if only for a moment — to spark the top-seeded Wingers to a 5-2 victory over No. 2 New Prague in the Section One, Class A title game.
