The Cooper Hawks' head coach, Chris Johnson, died Tuesday, April 19, after a brief battle with cancer.

Johnson was diagnosed with non-small lung cancer Jan. 28, according to his CaringBridge page. Johnson underwent treatment for several months before dying.
