Lightning end four game losing streak

Alex Palm scored twice and dished out three helpers to lift Pequot Lakes past Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek 7-3 in the regular season final Thursday night in Breezy Point.

Both teams entered the game seeking to end a streak of winless slides before the start of the playoffs next week. The Blue Devils were on a six-game losing streak, while the Lightning were winless in their past four games.

The Mid-State Conference rivals were up for the challenge as they erupted for five goals in the opening stanza.
