Red Knights clinch at least a tie for the North Suburban conference title

BSM wins 20th game of the season with victory over Spring Lake Park

The Red Knights clinched at least a tie for the North Suburban conference championship with a 6-0 victory over Spring Lake Park.  It was BSM's 20th win of the season and their 10th shutout of the year.

The Red Knights had another dominating performance over a conference opponent, keeping their conference record perfect at 10-0.  BSM got their first goal of the game at 14:18 of the first period on the powerplay on Jordyn Burns' 12th goal of the season from Ali Praus and Jackie Pieper.  The Red Knights scored again about a minute and a half later on Anne Arnason's 7th goal of the season.  The assists went to Kat Kernan and Jordyn Burns.  Shots in the period were 17-0.

BSM added 2 more goals in the second period on shots from Kelly Pannek (shorthanded) and Sara Taffe (her 5th goal of the season).  Assists in the period went to Aly Hoffman and Kat Kernan.  It was Kernan's 2nd assist of the night.  The line of Hoffman-Kernan-Arnason played a very strong game all night long.

The Red Knights outshot Spring Lake Park 24-5 in the third period and added more 2 goals from  Brittany Wheeler on the powerplay from Jordyn Burns and Kelly Pannek's 30th goal of the season from her line mates Brittany Wheeler and Caitlin Reilly.

Shots for the game were 56-7 and Tiana Press won her 15th game in 18 starts.  The Red Knights will be going for the outright conference championship when they host Irondale at the SLP arena on Saturday afternoon in their final regular season game of the year.
