Pannek and Reilly hat tricks make Chisago Lakes disappear

The Red Knights moved one step closer to the North Suburban conference championship with a 10-1 rout of Chisago Lakes.  Fourteen players were involved in the scoring as BSM outshot the Wildcats 42-19.

The Red Knights got on the scoreboard just 2:32 into the game on Aly Hoffman's 6th goal of the season from Anne Arnason and Kat Kernan.  Chisago Lakes tied the game on their first shot which deflected off the crossbar by Laura Monson.  That would be the last shot to get by Tiana Press on the night.  BSM would score the last 9 goals of the game to win going away.  The Red Knights added 2 more goals in the first period by Kelly Pannek (her first of 3 goals on the night) and her line mate Caitlin Reilly (also her first of 3 goals on the night).  Assists in the period went to Caitlin Reilly, Jordyn Burns, and Kelly Pannek.

BSM added 2 more scores in the middle period by Kelly Pannek and Anne Arnason (her 6th goal of the season).  Jackie Pieper, Kaylee Druk, and Alexi Press had assists in the period.  The Red Knights entered the 3rd period with a commanding 5-1 lead.

BSM completely dominated the Wildcats in the 3rd period outshooting them 15-2 and scoring 5 more goals.  Caitlin Reilly had 2 raising her scoring total for the season to 18, and extending her scoring streak to 18 straight games, Ali Praus (her 7th goal of the season), and Kelly Pannek (shorthanded) scoring her team leading 28th goal of the season and extending her scoring streak to 17 straight games.  The final goal was scored by Brittany Wheeler (also shorthanded).  It was Wheeler's 16th goal of the season.  Players with assists in the period went to Kelly Pannek, Sara Taffe, Kaylee Druk, Jackie Pieper, Bailey Forcier, and Laura Minkoff.

The Red Knights will next take on Spring Lake Park with a chance to clinch the conference title on Thursday, February 3rd at Fogerty Ice Arena.
