The 2011 Senior Classic will feature the best of the best in Minnesota

The best talent in the state will be on display March 4-6 when the 13th annual Senior Classic hits the ice at the Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine.

The showcase event will feature the best senior players in Minnesota in head-to-head tournament action.

Players will get a chance to compete against high-caliber athletes in front of DI and DIII recruiters from the area.

TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE FOR SEEDING INTO FINAL ROUND GAMES

In the event two teams points total are tied after the three game preliminary round the following procedure will be used to place teams in the seeded championship games:

1. Head to Head game result

2. The lowest goals allowed total

3. Highest goals scored for total

4. Flip of a coin

The Senior Classic is tournament designed to showcase the talent of some of the best girl's hockey players in Minnesota.

The purpose o this showcase is to give the best seniors in the state the opportunity to play against top competition. In addition, for many players, this is the final chance to be scouted by some of the top DI and DIII universities in the area.

Many former participants in the Senior Classic have gone on to play college hockey as a result of thier participation in the event.
