BSM extends winning streak to 10 straight

The Red Knights remained perfect in 2011 and extended their team winning streak to 10 straight games with a hard fought 4-1 victory over Hill-Murray.  Although BSM outshot the Pioneers 16-10 in the opening period, they were deadlocked at 1 going into the first intermission.  The Red Knights goal was scored by Jordyn Burns unassisted.  It was her 11th goal of the season.  Hill-Murray answered less than 2 minutes later with their only goal of the game by Marissa Brandt on the powerplay at the 6:35 mark.

BSM got the only goal of the 2nd period from Kelly Pannek with the assists going to her line mates Brittany Wheeler and Caitlin Reilly.  This would turn out to be the game winner.  The Red Knights were able to get some breathing room late in the third period when Brittany Wheeler netted her 15th goal of the season on the powerplay at the 15 minute mark from Jordyn Burns and Caitlin Reilly.  Kelly Pannek added an empty net goal from Brittany Wheeler to complete the scoring.

Shots for the game were 30-21 in favor of the Red Knights.  Tiana Press was in net and earned her 13th win of the season.  BSM returns to conference play next Tuesday hosting Chisago Lakes.
