Complete game effort as 12 players get points in victory

Chisago Lakes arena has been a difficult place for the Red Knights to play in the past.  That wasn't the case tonight as BSM easily defeated Chisago 10-2.  Every forward was in the scoring column, and 12 skaters had at least one point as this was a total team victory.

The Red Knights came out strong outshooting the Tigers 20-6 and outscoring them 3-1 in the opening period.  Brittany Wheeler got BSM on the scoreboard at 6:27 of the first period from Caitlin Reilly.  The Red Knights added 2 more goals within about a minute on shots from Jordyn Burns on a pretty crossing pass from Kelly Pannek, and Bailey Forcier (her first goal of the season) from Cat Kernan and Aly Hoffman.  Chisago added a late goal before the end of the period, but the game was never in doubt.

BSM put another 20 shots on the Chisago netminder in the second period and scored 6 times to take a commanding 9-1 lead after 2 periods.  Goal scorers in the period were Caitlin Reilly, Anne Arnason with 2, Brittany Wheeler, Kelly Pannek, and Aly Hoffman.  Players with assists in the period were Sara Taffe (with 2), Ali Praus, Madeline Carras (with 2), Caitlin Reilly, Kaylee Druk, and Brittany Wheeler.

The third period was played in running time and both teams traded goals, with the Red Knight goal being scored by Aly Hoffman (her second of the game) with the assists going to Brittany Wheeler and Caitlin Reilly.  Shots for the game were 48-23.  One note was that there were no penalties taken by the Red Knights in the game.  BSM goes into the Christmas break with a 3-0 conference record and a 9-2-1 record overall.  The Red Knights will next take on Sun Prairie, WI in the opening game of the Schwan's Cup tournament next Monday at the Super Rink.
