BSM runs unbeaten streak to 9 straight games as Kaylee Druk's 3 point night leads the way

The Red Knights have been on a tear lately, having outscored their opponents 29-3 in their past 5 games, with 3 of their last 4 victories coming by shutout.  Caitlin Reilly has now extended her scoring streak to 6 straight games, picking up an assist in BSM's 7-0 victory over St. Francis.  Kelly Pannek has also been red hot this season sporting a 5 game scoring streak of her own.  BSM's dominance has been further displayed in that the following players have scored at least 1 point in 9 of the 10 games played so far this season:  Caitlin Reilly, Jordyn Burns, and Kelly Pannek.  This was also the second straight game that the Red Knights pelted the opposing netminder with 50 shots.

BSM wasted little time flexing their muscles against St. Francis scoring on the powerplay at the 5:12 mark of the first period on Anne Arnason's 3rd goal of the season.  Caitlin Reilly and Jordyn Burns assisted on the goal.  Just 2:40 later, Ali Praus lit the lamp with goal number 2 of the season from Kaylee Druk and Brittany Wheeler.  The Red Knights went into the first intermission with a 2-0 lead.

BSM made sure there would be no doubt who would control this game.  In the middle period, the Red Knights scored 4 goals to blow open the contest.  Goal scorers were Kelly Pannek (9th of the season), Jordyn Burns (6th of the season, with her goal coming on the powerplay), Kaylee Druk, and Aly Hoffman (2nd of the season).  Players with assists in the period were:  Jordyn Burns, Anne Arnason, Kelly Pannek with 2 assists (her team leading 12th of the season ), Cat Kernan, and Bailey Forcier.  Kaylee Druk added an unassisted goal in the 3rd period to complete the scoring, her 2nd goal of the game and 5th of the season. Abbey Miller was in net and has still not allowed a Varsity goal in her career, having recorded her second straight shutout.  Shots for the game were 50-7.

The Red Knights will be greatly tested as they will host #2 ranked Minnetonka on Saturday afternoon at St. Louis Park.  The Skippers are coming in with a 9-1 record, with Shattuck's U19 team dealing them their only loss of the season.
