ROCHESTER — The Huskies scored on their first shot of the game, and senior Keshia Reuvers made it stand up.

Reuvers finished with 16 saves and the Owatonna girls hockey team kept its perfect Big Nine Conference record with a 4-0 road victory over Rochester JM/Lourdes on Tuesday.

“We jumped on them right away,” OHS coach Tim Hunst said. “Keshia only had 16 saves, but there were some fantastic saves in there. It wasn’t a ho-hum shutout. It was a well-deserved shutout for Keshia tonight.”

Cailyn McCauley put Owatonna up 1-0 with a deflection on a Paige Lysne shot 30 seconds into the game. Payton Noble also assisted on the goal. Later in the first period, Emily Cochran put the Huskies (3-0 Big Nine, 4-2 overall) up by two with an unassisted goal.

Noble and Lysne assisted on a goal by Aimee Goodew in the second period, and Shelby Noble scored with a helper from McCauley in the third to finish the scoring.

Owatonna has two more road games this week — Thursday at Faribault and Saturday at Northfield.

OHS scoring: First period—Cailyn McCauley (Paige Lysne, Payton Noble) :30; Emily Cochran 11:16; Second period—Aimee Goodew (Noble, Lysne) 5:01 (pp); Third period—Shelby Noble (McCauley) 2:44. OHS goalie—Keshia Reuvers 16 saves.
