The number "2" was the story of this game.  This was the 2nd straight shutout posted by BSM and the 2nd straight 5-0 victory.  Caitlin Reilly also added 2 more goals, having now scored in 4 consecutive games, and Jordyn Burns chipped in with 2 assists.  The defensive corps also played a strong game limiting the number of quality scoring chances by Hopkins.

Caitlin Reilly put the Red Knights in front in the first period on a powerplay goal with the assists going to Jordyn Burns and Kelly Pannek.  It was Pannek's team leading 9th assist of the year.  BSM added 2 more goals in the second period by Kelly Pannek (shorthanded) and Caitlin Reilly.  For Reilly, it was her 9th goal of the season, also tops on the team.  The assist on this goal went to Kaylee Druk.  The Red Knights added 2 late third period goals to round out the scoring.  Brittany Wheeler scored from Jordyn Burns, and Aly Hoffman scored with the assist going to Alexi Press.  Both goals came in the final minute of play.  Tiana Press stopped all 16 shots in the win.  BSM will open conference play at Totino-Grace Friday night at 7:00pm at Parade Arena.
