Abbey Miller shuts out Cloquet in Varsity debut

Abbey Miller made her Varsity debut in style stopping all 19 shots she faced in leading the Red Knights to a 5-0 win over Cloquet.  After defeating Grand Rapids the previous night, BSM took a more workmanlike approach to this game.  The Red Knights controlled play for most of the afternoon.  Kaylee Druk opened the scoring at 9:12 of the first period, with the assist going to Ali Praus.  BSM broke open the contest with 3 goals in the second period by Kelly Pannek, Jordyn Burns, and Caitlin Reilly.  Players earning assists on these goals were Madeline Carras, Kelly Pannek, and Anne Arnason.  For Reilly, it was the 3rd straight game she has scored a goal, and she has netted 6 goals over this stretch.  With a comfortable 4-0 lead going into the third period, Anne Arnason added a goal just 16 seconds into the period from Jordyn Burns and Kelly Pannek.  BSM slowed down their attack for the remainder of the game, earning their second shutout win of the season.  The Red Knights will next take on Hopkins on Tuesday night in Minnetonka.
