Lapp scores to make it 1-0

BEMIDJI went up to Roseau and put together a solid 51 minute effort but still came up short 2 to 1. The Lumberjacks were whistled for 6 penalties and the Rams for 4. Allie Lapp scored on a short handed backhand effort to take the lead, but directly into the 2nd period it was tied up by Roseau on the powerplay on a pass from behind the net. Soon later the Rams scored on an uncontested powerplay zone entry shot to score 2 goals while only having 3 shots in the entire 2nd period. Roseau played strong enough in the 3rd to hold Bemidji off... The final shots were Bemidji 21 Roseau 11. The victory insures that Roseau will get the #1 Seed in Section 8AA and Bemidji #2 probably.

The Jacks host the visiting Jacks from Cloquet the next night to close out the home season 7pm at Nymore Arena. It will be the second annual "Battle for the Axe"
