The Premier Prep League kicked off this past weekend at the Super Rink.  Our eight teams are made up of 152 players and 16 coaches that represent almost 70 different high school programs in Minnesota.  It was a great weekend of training, hockey and spirited competition.

Team Gold and Team White paced the competition, winning both of their games and outscoring their opponents 18-6.  Team Green and Team Grey followed with 1-1 records and Team Light Blue posted two ties.

Emily Heid (Green / Elk River) and Callie Hoff (Red / Duluth) lead all scorers with five points on the weekend, followed by Marissa Odell (Gold / Armstrong) and Alex Pederson (Gold / Park Rapids) who posted four points each in their two games.  Jenna Baumgartner (Gold / Roseau) led all goaltenders with two complete games and only one goal allowed.  56 players recorded at least one point on the weekend.

Six weekends of competition remain on the schedule, including two with Team North Dakota and Team South Dakota (September 21-22 & October 12-13).   Complete league information, team schedules, standings and statistical leaders can be found on the Premier Prep website.
