Crookston-The Warroad Warriors take the season sweep and Section 8A win tonight with a final score of seven to zero win tonight. Earlier in the season the Warriors took the game ten to zero.

The Pirates tried their best against the defending Section 8A champions and defending State A Champions the Warroad Warriors but goaltender Dayton Hilgert (Sr., Goalie) was on her game by not letting the Pirates score a goal in the game. The Pirates will again fall back to .500 with a record of (8-8-0) and this is also a lose in the Greater Minnesota Conference which brings the Pirates to (2-6-0) on the season. The Pirates take a tough one tonight but will hope to rebound back when they have their next game this Friday against the Proctor/Hermantown Rails and the Hibbing/ Chisholm.

As I said the next game for the Pirates will be here in Crookston against the Proctor/Hermantown Rails at the Crookston Sports Center with the drop of the puck at 7:30pm.

Notes:

The Pirates were lead by their goaltender Lexie Cormican (8th grade., Goalie) with saving thirty-eight save and letting in seven goals.

The Warriors were lead by Sierra Hanowski (Sr., Forward), Demi Gardner (Fresh., Forward), and Lynn Astrup (Jr., Defense) all of them had two goals apiece and no assists except for Demi Gardner (Fresh., Forward) who had one assist. The other goal was scored by Kayla Gardner (Sr., Forward) for the Warriors. Warriors goaltender Dayton Hilbert (Sr., Goalie) had fourteen saves and no goals.
