Fergus Falls- The Pirates headed on the road for a nonconference game against the Fergus Falls Otters and take a nonconference win with a 6-3 score.

The Pirates take the first nonconference win against the Fergus Falls Otters with a 6-3 score to make the Pirates overall record of 5-4 on the season. The Pirates were lead by Brianna Breiland (Sr., Forward) with four goals and two assists. Natasha Skala (Sr., Defense) and Tori Demarais (Fresh., Defense) both had one goal but Demarais had one assist and Skala had no assists. The Otters were lead by Stephanie Kolstad (Sr., Forward) with two goals and no assists. Lauren Norgren (Jr., Defense) also had a goal for the Otters and had one assist.

This game also created a lot of penalties as the Pirates had fourteen penalty minutes and the Otters had six penalty minutes. As the stats show it was a one side game well if you were not in attendance to watch the game it was a different story as both the Pirates and the Otters played on both ends of the rink but there was minimal shooting for the Otters when they were in the offensive zone on the Pirates goaltender Sidney Erickson (Jr., Goalie).

Next for the Pirates they will travel down Highway 75 to take on another Greater Minnesota Conference team the Moorhead Spuds on Tuesday December 18, 2012 in Moorhead at 7:30pm.
