Red Lake Falls- The Pirates normally play their home games at the Crookston Sports Center but they decided to take the next home game to Crookston’s Coop school Red Lake Falls where the Pirates took their first Greater Minnesota Conference win against Section 8AA school the Roseau Rams by a score of 4 to 2.

The Pirates were lead in scoring by Senior Brianna Breiland (Sr., Forward) with all of Crookston’s four goals. The Pirates were lead in assists by Senior Natasha Skala (Sr., Defense) with three assists. Roseau was lead in scoring by both Gracie Olson (Sr., Forward) and Tianna Gunderson (Soph., Forward) both of which at one goal apiece.

The Pirates had a great atmosphere at the Red Lake Falls Arena which helped the Pirates come out with a victory against the Roseau Rams. The Pirates played very well in Red Lake Falls which was the Pirates best game so far this season. Both teams had solid goaltending of which both of them made some pretty good saves with a lot of shots taken on them too. Overall both teams played very well and the next meeting between these two teams in January will be interesting to see who will come out with the win at the end.

The next opponent for the Pirates will be against another Greater Minnesota Conference team the Bemidji Ladyjacks which will be played at Crookston Sports Center on Tuesday, December, 11, 2012 at 7:30pm with JV playing at 5:30pm.
