Warroad- After a tough battle against the defending Section A State Champions the Warroad Warriors the Pirates come out on the shorthand losing 10-0 in Section 8A play.

The Warriors were lead by Senior Kayla Gardner and Junior Sierra Hanowski both of which had hat tricks in the 10-0 win against the Pirates. The Pirates were lead by both goaltenders 8^th grader Lexie Cormican and Junior Sidney Erickson. They both together stopped twenty-four shots against the defending Section A State Champions.

The Pirates fought strong and tried to keep up with the Warroad Warriors and keep the goals down to a minimum but the Warriors came out shooting and scored a total of ten goals. The Pirates did try to get shots on net against Warroad’s Dani Knott but the Warriors back checking was good and they held the Pirates to a total of eight shots.

The Pirates will be playing the another Greater Minnesota Conference game against the Roseau Rams which is a home game but will be played at Red Lake Falls Arena instead of the Crookston Sports Arena at 7:30pm on Thursday, December 6, 2012.
