Crookston’s 8th grade forward Macy Strem who scored her first ever high school career goal to make the Pirates move to within one making the score 3-2 in the 2nd period.

The Pirates fought hard against the Thief River Falls Prowlers at the Ralph Engelstad Arena despite a few issues that were going on in the game with two players hyperventilating during the game which messed up the lines for Co-Head Coach Jeff Perrault where he had to look at different players that had to switch to different lines in the second and third periods. Even though the Pirates lost 3-5 to the Prowlers the Pirates will be looking to take on the Prowlers again later on in the hockey season.

The next game for the Pirates will be against another Section 8A opponent the Park Rapids Area Panthers which is apart of the Thief River Falls Thanksgiving holiday Tournament which will be at the Ralph Engelstad Arena on Friday, November 23 at 5:00pm.
