Scott Van Horrick tapped as new director

The Premier Prep League is proud to announce that veteran girls hockey coach Scott VanHorrick has accepted the role as the new director for the 2025-26 season.

Scott brings an impressive resume to the position having coached girls / women's hockey for the past decade and a half. 

Scott was a 12 year HS girls coach at Champlin Park High School and Anoka HS including 3 State Tournament appearances while with the Tornadoes. He has also coached multiple High Performance 16 and 17 year old teams and numerous Premier Prep League teams from the beginning of the league including taking teams to Nationals 3 of the last 4 years. Has coached numerous D3, D1, Olympian and now even professional women players over the years. 

The Premier Prep League will focus on player development during the course of the upcoming fall season.  Players will have the opportunity to compete against some of the top players in the state at their respective age levels. The PPL has had a tremendous amount of success at the USA Hockey National Tier 2 tournaments over the last four years earning several National Championship titles including two this past spring at the 16U and 19U levels.
