U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic

Features St. Cloud State University and University of Minnesota

Two of Minnesota’s top college teams will square off in the annual U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic, Saturday, Nov. 20, 3:00 p.m. CST, at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

St. Cloud State University will take on University of Minnesota in the annual benefit game.

“We are excited to be participating in the Hall of Fame game once again,” said Huskies Head Coach Steve Macdonald.  “We have always had great experiences during this event and our players have spoken highly about the opportunity.  We look forward to putting on a great show with the Gophers.”

The annual game raises awareness for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, Minnesota and showcases women’s college hockey at its highest level to the fans in attendance including young girls who may aspire to play hockey.

“All of us with SCSU women’s hockey are passionate about helping grow the game for the next generation,” said Macdonald.  “As stewards of the game, we are always looking for opportunities to create exposure at all levels locally, nationally, and even internationally.  The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum game is a great opportunity for us to continue to play a role in promoting the women’s game, and we are honored to be able to be a part of it.”

Tickets range from $8.00 to $10.00 and are available at www.gophersports.com or by calling 1-800-U-GOPHER; or emailing  gophersports@umn.edu.

Additional event details will be announced in coming weeks.
