The Saints opened their season with a bang on Tuesday night with an exciting victory over Bloomington Kennedy. Saints Goalie Julia Carle was absolutely stellar between the posts, stopping 38 of 39 shots. Sophomore Sarah Lynn, last year's leading scorer, notched her first goal of the season, tipping in a shot from senior defenseman Sara Lind in the final second of the first period. Freshman Breana Kelley followed suit with her first varsity goal, leading the Saints to victory in their inaugural effort. Senior defenseman Mara Raymond played shutdown hockey all night to earn the Saints' first Hard Hat award.
