To All MGHCA Members and High School Coaches,

This is your invitation to attend the MGHCA Fall Clinic and General Membership Meeting at the Schwan’s Center in Blaine, Minnesota, 1700 105th Ave NE, Blaine, MN (located next to the Schwan’s Super Rink). The two day event will include a coaching clinic with special guest speakers, our association’s annual general membership meeting, a coaches social gathering on Friday night, the opportunity to visit with hockey vendors and suppliers, and the presentation of our Coach of the Year awards and other recognitions.

Clinic Schedule:

Friday, Oct. 9

• Registration 8:00-9:00a
• Presentations 9:00a-5:00p
• Coaches Social 5:00-7:00p

Saturday, Oct.10

• Registration 8:00-9:00a
• Rules Interpretation Mtg., General Membership Mtg. and Coach of the Year Awards Presentation 9:00a-12:30p

As part of the clinic fee, each participating coach will receive the following:

• Special clinic coach gift
• All-you-can-eat lunch on Friday
• Juice, coffee and donuts on Friday & Saturday mornings
• Opportunity to meet local and state hockey suppliers/vendors
• Entry for door prize drawings
• Free social gathering on Friday evening (beverages and snacks provided by the Schwan’s Super Rink)
• MSHSL Rules Interpretation meeting requirement completion
• Important information regarding MGHCA programs and events
• Important information regarding MN Hockey programs and events
• USA Hockey Level 3 Certification (must be in attendance both days!!) Coaching manuals and cards with Level 3 stickers will be provided!)
• Tenure lapel pins for all coaches (new, 5-year, 10-year)
• Special guest speakers from local D1 and D3 colleges and USA Hockey volunteers
• Presentation of Coach of the Year Awards

LODGING AT THE NSC DORMITORY
Once again we will be offering lodging to coaches wishing an inexpensive and close location to the clinic venue. The NSC Dormitory is an inexpensive and convenient alternative to staying at one of the nearby hotels in the area. Bedding is provided by the NSC. Cost per person for one person in a room is $35.00 and the cost per person for two people per room is $28.00. Rooms are available for Friday and/or Saturday nights.

This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow coaches and to get to know them away from the rink and to learn about the coaching opportunities for you and your staff and program opportunities and recognition for your players. The cost per coach for the clinic is only $45.00. Go to the MGHCA website other lodging accommodations. We are strongly encouraging every school/program to be represented at the clinic. We hope you are able to attend! Below are the hotel contacts and the dormitory rates for the 2009 Fall Clinic and General Membership Meeting. All lodging requests and reservations must be made in advance of the clinic. For hotel reservations contact the hotels directly to reserve your rooms.

For dormitory reservations, use the clinic sign up form to indicate that you would like to stay in the dorm. ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE.
